Funnel Tracker: First-Party Attribution From Ad Click to Lead
What Funnel Tracker Does
Funnel Tracker adds one lightweight first-party script to your landing pages, sales funnel, or checkout. It connects campaign/source data and page journeys to captured leads so you can see which traffic creates real opportunities—inside SimpleCheck.
Quick path: Funnel Tracker → create tracker → Setup → copy snippet → install on every funnel page → Results
Funnel Tracker and Pixel Wiring are related but separate. Funnel Tracker records the visitor journey/attribution. Pixel Wiring sends selected SmartForm/CRM events to Meta.
Why Teams Use Funnel Tracker
- Replace disconnected page scripts with one tracker across the funnel
- Keep UTMs, ad click IDs, pixel cookies, journeys, and leads together
- Diagnose where attribution breaks before optimizing ads
- Match campaign traffic to leads without exporting everything to another basic tracking dashboard
Can Funnel Tracker Replace Hyros or Cometly?
It can replace a separate lightweight tracker when your core need is first-party page journeys, UTMs/click IDs, and lead matching. It can also pair with Pixel Wiring for direct Meta event delivery.
Keep Hyros, Cometly, or another platform when you rely on broader multi-channel attribution, call tracking, lifetime-revenue modeling, or agency reporting that SimpleCheck does not currently replicate.
1. Create the Tracker
Open Funnel Tracker from the sidebar and click Create your first tracker or + New tracker.
Complete:
- Tracker name — use the funnel/campaign name
- Notes (optional) — describe the landing-to-conversion path
- Allowed website domains (optional) — comma-separated domains that may send data

Create a tracker with a recognizable name and optional domain restrictions.
For production, set Allowed website domains. Leave it blank only when you intentionally need to accept data from any host.
2. Install the Snippet
Open the tracker and click Setup.
- Copy the generated script exactly as shown.
- Paste it into the global header/site code so it loads on every page in the funnel.
- Publish the site.
- Do not reuse another tracker’s ID.

The Setup tab provides the site-wide script and shows the allowed-domain restriction. The tracker ID is redacted here; copy your real snippet from the portal.
The generated code loads:
https://portal.simplecheck.ai/assets/external/funnel-tracker.min.js
and includes your unique tracker ID.
Treat the tracker ID as configuration. Never paste webhook secrets or API tokens into public page code.
3. Verify Results
Open Results after visiting the published page.
The overview includes:
- Events (24h)
- Total events
- Leads (24h)
- Total leads
- Recent activity
- Leads

The Results tab shows live/paused status, recent activity, lead counts, and tracker controls.
Test with a clean/private browser session and a URL containing your intended UTM parameters. Confirm a page visit appears before testing lead capture.
4. Inspect Attribution
Open an event or lead to review available:
- Lead identity
- Campaign/source/UTM data
- Page journey and page title
- Ad click IDs
- Pixel cookies
- Device/network context
- Custom properties
Use the recorded facts as attribution evidence; do not infer missing source data.
Pause or Archive
- Pause — temporarily stop accepting new tracker data without deleting configuration.
- Archive — remove the tracker from active use.
Before archiving, remove/replace the snippet on every page using that tracker.
Troubleshooting
No activity appears
Confirm the site was published, the exact snippet is present in the rendered page source, the tracker is Live, and the page domain is allowed.
Visits appear but no leads
Confirm the lead handoff/form integration is implemented as shown under Setup and test with contact data you control.
UTMs or click IDs are missing
Test the actual ad/landing URL and confirm URL parameters survive every redirect.
Data comes from an unexpected site
Add the correct Allowed website domains and remove unapproved domains.
Contact support with the tracker name, landing URL, and test time—never send the webhook secret in chat.
